bookskeep Value Series: The Value of Gratitude

We have started a value series here at bookskeep to establish our core values that describe who we are, how we conduct ourselves and how we serve our clients. These values include: Learning, Integrity, Communication, Customer Service and Quality. You can find our value on learning here. These core values help our business grow and develop in the right direction. We are diving into one value over the next few weeks to show you how our team integrates these values in our day-to-day operations.

Value #2 The Value of Gratitude

Studies show that gratitude is a great way to have positive mental health. We believe that taking time out of your day to find peace and be thankful for what you have, where you are or what you’re doing is very important to the quality of your lifestyle.
Our team members gathered to share what they’re thankful for and how they implement the value of gratitude into their daily lives.
Annie shows her thanks for her family and the bookskeep team. “I’m thankful for my family, a flexible job that allows me to rearrange hours if something comes up, and for where I live. I’m grateful for the support I receive from my team and how we push each other to be the best we can be.” It’s important in life to surround yourself with people who are a good support system and encourage you daily.
Denise says, “I’m grateful for my co-workers and for my clients who trust us to do their books for them. I enjoy building relationships with them and how much they appreciate us.” Practicing gratitude in our daily lives increases levels of satisfaction and creates an overall positive work environment.
Kelly and Pam describe how they are thankful for their relationship with God. Kelly says, “God has opened doors for me by giving me my job at bookskeep. I’m thankful for this team in my life.” Pam believes that, “God has given me a team that I love working with. They are supportive and patient. I am thankful for our realness with each other in the office.”
What are you thankful for?
Take a moment to look at your life and give thanks for what you have around you. Only when you take a pause from the chaos and busyness of life, are you able to truly see what you have and can be grateful for. Find a hobby you love, surround yourself with people who make you better and take care of your health. As a team here at bookskeep, we are thankful for our lovely clients and how they work with us and appreciate what we do for them. We enjoy building relationships with them and helping them improve their business, and we are grateful for all that we learn from them as well. We hold these values closely here at bookskeep and encourage you to do the same.
